WHY "PHOTOMINK"
Photosprint & computers plus, informally known as Photosprint is
owned by Martyn Sayer, an independent sole trader with a passion for
photography, computer games and most importantly hard work and
customer satisfaction. I and my staff pride ourselves in being able
to offer 1 to 1 advice on all our products with in-store tuition on any item
purchased from ourselves and true "hands on" help. Just what's missing when
you purchase online, from a catalogue or mass retail outlet. Although I have
many well trained and enthusiastic members of staff helping in the day to day
running of my business, your first point of contact should be myself or my
manager Justin Bond ( maybe not 007 but a real life J bond).

I often get asked were the name Photomink comes from and why is the logo a camera with a Monkey
Here (if you wanted it or not) is the answer-
In my previous job I was working with people used to more manual and heavy work than myself . Being an extremley "cheeky person" tryng to windup anyone possible I found a need to hide from the numerous beatings (all in jest) that were deservedly forthcoming. One of my best abilities was to be able to climb the pallets of boxes stacked over thirty feet high very quickly to elude these beatings. Thereafter my nickname became monkey. Shortly after, my supervisor, a keen Peter Sellers fan called me Minky which is what Peter Sellers Called monkeys in the pink panther films. It was then a short step from there to be called "The Mink." Several people who I worked with never knew my real name and always called me Minky or The Mink.
The next step was very straight forward. When I was looking for a name for the website Photosprint and all logical names had already gone so I came up with Photo mink creating a logo of a camera (the photo part) with my old nickname (a monkey) hence PHOTOMINK.
